This is a 3-cyl, carbureted, outboard with power trim and tilt. These carb Yamaha outboards are super reliable and easy to work on. They also produce excellent power.

Mechanically the motor is in great shape. Compression was 118-120 per cylinder. It fires, pumps good water, shifts smoothly, and sounds excellent when you rap the throttle.

Cosmetically the motor looks great. The paint and decals are original and look good. The powerhead is exceptionally clean and the overall condition of the motor will definitely make the new owner proud.

We acquired the motor locally. The previous owner traded it in towards a new 90hp vmax Yamaha four-stroke. It was used on a scout.
